Hickmatu Leigh, is a native of Sierra Leone, and a multifaceted individual with a passion for storytelling and advocacy. While renowned for her captivating photography, which has garnered prestigious awards including the Women Deliver Arts and Film Festival honour and the STG Vanguard Award from the UN Foundation, Hickmatu’s true calling lies in using her creative talents to shed light on social issues.
She recently completed a photography mentorship with renowned Icelandic photographer Ragnar Axelsson (aka RAX) facilitated by the Aurora Foundation.
