Circular Design Hub (CDH)  Circular Design Hub Kampala | Co-Creation Space for Creatives  is nurturing co-creation and innovation in Kampala, Uganda. The 2000 sqm renovated warehouse is a collaborative work environment where creativepreneurs, freelancers, designers, writers, product developers, marketing minds, tech start-ups and all round-do-ers and makers develop their projects whilst sharing their talents.

CDH is part of Kampala’s thriving ecosystem for socio-cultural innovation and artistic expression.

Their mission “is to show the economic value of creativity and ‘design thinking’ and provide an entry point for international market opportunities.”

In order to create a sustainable future for the creative sector, CDH promotes the added value of creativity and design for the Ugandan economy, offers an affordable working environment for creative professionals and creates a haven for free expression and inclusive social change.

To encourage emerging talent, they stage a quarterly, cross-disciplinary creative call for artists, activists, designers and makers to experiment with different media, technologies and art forms to find solutions for social problems and responses to societal questions.

The Hub has also collaborated with local artists such as the national and international professional Muralist Olego Job Anomet – alias Jobra  @jobray_arts    – who  lives and works in  Kampala. Jobra uses the presence of graffiti “to tell and transform verbal stories into images or visual arts”. His murals can be seen at the Hub.
