Andrew Sahr Norma is Founder of Greentech Bioenergy, located in Allen Town, Western Rural Area, Freetown. Working in the Green Energy sector, the business was formed to address the improper organic waste management and lack of clean cooking energy in Sierra Leone. Greentech Bioenergy has developed a waste management biogas digester technology from plastic materials. The business model is to manufacture different household biogas digesters to transform the household kitchen, animal, and market waste into clean biogas for cooking and organic fertiliser.
In 2022, Andrew developed two different sizes of biodigesters as a proof of concept. He currently produces different biogas digester sizes for household family members, canteens owners, hotels, and livestock farmers. Andrew says: “With this technology, we address the problem by providing access to clean cooking gas while preserving our environment.”
